Updated IP Agreement
The HR-XML Consortium reviewed and revised their License Agreement around the HR-XML Standards. The intent was to strengthen the terms and conditions of the Agreement. The updates will protect HR-XML’s Intellectual Property around the Standards while encouraging their distribution and use.

HR-XML Schemas
HR-XML is putting the finishing touches on the XML standards, 3.1 Release. The new version of HR-XML standards will feature the following improvements:
- Screening Catalog describes a service provider's background check and/or screening catalog.
- Work Eligibility supports the validation of employee eligibility via the I-9 form.
- Search Document provides a way for one system to request matching documents for a query against another system (e.g. ATS to Job Board).
HR IT Practitioners continue to update the HR-XML standards. The 3.2 version of the HR-XML standards are going to focus on the following improvements:
- Work Eligibility supports the validation of employee eligibility between the designated agent and the U.S. Government E-Verify system.
- Screening Vendor supports background check information between the provider and CRA.
- Payroll HR Master supports the employee setup and maintenance into payroll system.
- Onboarding supports the transfer of candidate information between the ATS and HRIS.
